Working alongside industrial designer, Greta Polo, DUPPY created stunning in-context product renders for a productive lamp design built for students.
Shift is a portable, battery-powered desk lamp designed to support late-night creative work at university libraries. Using a specific shade of blue light to suppress melatonin production, the lamp helps users stay alert and focused during extended work sessions. Its soft, rounded form was developed to feel friendly and companion-like, offering a sense of quiet support through the night. Designed with shared use in mind, Shift includes a custom pogo-pin charging system built into shelf-compatible charging beds, allowing for easy drop-in charging without cables. The result is a lamp that blends function, comfort, and care; tailored to the real rhythms of student life.

The studio worked with Greta through her full design process helping with iterative progression through product visualisation. The brief expected deliverables of product renders, renders in context and an exploded view of the lamp.
Fraser was able to use sketches and models to create stunning renders playing with the blue light to help the product stand-out. The process included modelling the lamp, the complex interior components, the charging base for the lamps and an in-context scene.
